So here's a parenting question I never thought I'd need to ask.
DS, 11, has started making sexual noises when he's being silly at home. I tried to ignore them at first but he kept doing them and his younger brother, 9, started copying.
I talked to him about it and he said a boy in his class had started doing it and he was just copying. He said the boy told him they were 'sexy noises women make'. DS said the boy did it in class a few times but the teacher didn't notice.
DS has a tendency to do annoying things even more when he knows it annoys me. But I'm more worried he's going to do it in public or at school and get a reputation. His brother too. They both have SEN, are quite naive and are already seen as a bit 'different' with not a lot of friends. Apparently the boy at school has stopped doing it and I told my DS it's completely inappropriate and I'm trying to protect their reputation by telling them to stop, but I'm not convinced they really understand why and are not doing it at school to show off. They still do it at home.
How would you approach this?
