How did you teach your DC .......

.....to whistle?

My DD (nearly 5) wants to whistle and I can't explain how to do it.

I told her that you lovely ladies would be able to explain much better than I can.

She says......

Thank you

She did that all on her own [proud mum]

I have been trying to teach DS(7) the only way I can explain to him is that it is like blowing (show her how to position her lips) then just keep practicing.
Let us know when she can do it!

Ok new problem (thanks for the replies so far) - have been trying to explain the shape to put her lips - just said the same as our dogs bottom - she's now got the giggles and definately can't whistle!

I wish my DS would not whistle
