DS not putting on weight - should I be worried?

My ds was 8lbs at birth, but has only ever put on about 3-4 oz a week. He's on the 9th centile now, but slipped below that for a while as he was hospitalised with rotavirus (my god!!) He's 13 months now, walking, chatting etc, very cheeky, but I don't want him to be small. I think it's worse for boys - I don't want him to grow up with Small Man Syndrome!
He eats a good diet, I always give him full fat food, but he is really active.
Clothes wise, he's still in 9-12 months tops, and 6-9 months trousers. Has anyone else had this?

My DD is the same age and is about the same weight though doesn't feature on the charts for height (she's short). DS (2.7) was the same at that age (8lbs at birth too) and hasn't gained much since he was mobile. He's also small in height (9th centile) but has caught up a lot as he wasn't even on the charts height wise at 10 months. My DH is short too (5'6") and actually has no problems whatsoever with his height. Other people have a problem with his height, but he doesn't at all.

I wouldn't let it worry you. Weight gain is so slow once they're mobile. And if you think he's doing well then chances are he is. As for clothes... I think clothing sizes can be so off at this age. DS wore 9-12 month stuff for ages, particularly the trousers. Now at 2.7 he wears mostly 18-24 months stuff though still needs a turn up on some trousers. My friend has a tall DD but at age 3 she's still getting away with age 2 trousers a lot.
