Baby noises

I've tried to upload a video of my baby making this noise, but it won't let me. She's making a really loud horrible groaning sound a lot of the time. She's not in need of anything. Just likes the feeling the noise creates in her throat, I think? It's awful though. Anyone had the same with their baby?

How old is she @EKMI? Some babies do learn new noises and then play either them for a while.

Hi, she's 6 months. It's a really horrible noise, she makes herself cough from doing it. It's not a noise I've heard a baby so before.

Is it like a creaky door?

It's like a frustrated growl/groan but really loud. It's worse than crying

My 7 month old has been making a frustrated grunting/groaning/ growling noise for about a month now. He seems to do it when he is fed up/ bored but also for no apparent reason. I was wondering what it was too. I can't remember my eldest making the same noise. Sorry I can't help as I don't know what it is either.

Thank you for your response. Everyone I ask says their baby hasn't made the noise. Like you say it's sometimes if she's frustrated and bored, but more often than not it's for no apparent reason. I was wondering if I should get her checked out? But will I look a Wally saying my baby is making a horrible noise? Wish I could upload the video to get some reassurance.

My baby ended up in a&e and she has a viral infection, she was making the horrible noise there and the doctor said she's never heard it before?! The nurse said she thinks it's a pain noise. So none the wiser really. Anyone else had the same?

@EKMI oh no sorry to hear that your baby has been poorly. Hoping little one is much better now. My little one has almost stopped doing the grunting sound now and has started to make other babbling sounds so i'm wondering if it was just him experimenting with making sounds etc? He was doing it for about 6 weeks but much much less over the last couple of weeks.
