We have a 22 month old and think there might be some signs of autism, but some things which are not. Being a first time parent, we do that thing of looking at things on-line and self-diagnosing.

Anyway, this is what we've noticed:
-she does say alot of words, sometimes in context, some out of context
Repeats alot of what we say
knows the alphabet/ can count to 10
-does say two words
-eye contact is improving but still not great
-doesn't show joy/excitement when I come home
-does't draw our attention to things which interest her
-doesn't invite us to engage in play
-doesn't get upset if either of us appears unhappy
-when in the park, if we were to walk away, he'd be oblivious to us
-sometimes she spins but not excessively

However:
-she does indicate of he wants something by reaching with his arms (but not point) if he wants something
-sleeps well
-not a fussy eater
-she does smile and laugh
-no meltdowns, occasional tantrums
-he likes seeing children, runs upto them sometimes, but then does his own thing
-no obsessive behavior

We are doing speech therapy and she is more engaging since she started 6 weeks ago and eye contact improved since. Also in early intervention but still worrying

I'm confused. Is this more than one child? You've used both male and female pronouns.
