anyone put an 18 month old or younger in a divan bed?

if so how old were they and did you use a guard?

my mum claims we were all in ordinary beds without guards at 1, and potty trained too

I have left DS as long as physically possible in his cot and luckily he hasn;t tried to get out yet at 2.3. Will move him when the weather warms up.

Both were 18 months, no bed guards, single bed against the wall with a spare duvet on the floor.
Ds never fell out, DD once (I think.. I found her curled up in the floor duvet)

My DD went into a bed which was a matress on the floor at 12 months because I was fed up with fighting over the cot. She's never fallen out but even if she did she's only a few inches off the floor and wouldn't have hurt herself.
