5 month old eye rubbing

My daughter is constantly rubbing her eyes! Doesnt seem to matter if shes tired or not, no temperature or signs of infection, she does it when shes asleep aswell. Any ideas what could be going on?

The GP would be the first point of call but maybe she's shortsighted or something and gets headaches or blurred vision? I'm not a doctor just a guess but my daughter has eye condition nothing that affects her day to day life but she has a bit of a squint which overtime she has learnt to control. Alternatively she might just have sensitive eyes. My daughter's eyes watered like mad in the wind and cold every time we went out to the point I thought she was silently weeping
