Teething - what sick person invented this

If ever you want anyone to confess to anything stick them in a room with a teething child. My God, right now I would do anything to stop this. My poor DD2 had at least 4 (thats all we;ve been able to see so far she won;t let us any where near her mouth) teeth cut yesterday one of them a molar, I really don;t think I can take much more of this (I know its DD2 in pain - but she is making sure the rest of us know about it!). She hasn;t stoped whinging and crying all day, I feel so down and tearful, then so guilty when the poor thing does the sign for pain and points to her mouth

DD1 didn;t suffer anywhere near this much, she just dribbled for England.

are you giving her anything for it - bongela, teething rings, teething powders, calpol if desperate.

Not nice though for either of you.

It will pass though

You can give calopl and nurofen at the same time, that really helps.

quint · 25/03/2008 19:08

dentinox and calpol - believe me we're both desperate!

She's just gone to bed - hopefully she'll sleep though.

I just feel like a crap mum for letting it get me down when shes the one in pain.

Just a crappy day alround really. Nearly set fire to the kitchen then the bloody freezer door fell off.

Nurofen for children is fantastic.

RUMPEL · 25/03/2008 19:15

MY sypmathies - we are in the same boat. But we get constipation, poo frightening too!

quint · 25/03/2008 19:45

Will get some Nurofen tomorrow!

I am at work tomorrow so the poor childminder will have to deal with it - she is far more patient than me and both DD's adore her so hopefully a day apart will help us both

Know how you feel! DS is the same. Still hasn't got any teeth though, just chomping, drooling and grizzling all day. How old is your dd?
