Ages and stages questionnaire experiences

I have twins who were born 8w early, we have just been booked in for our 9 to 12 month check and I’ve had a look at the questionnaire.

They are both in the black for gross motor and fine motor and in the grey for everything else (they are 9.5 months corrected age, i am looking at the 9m questionnaire.

They can both sit up if i put them there, and roll both way but that’s it. They don’t really weight bear so can’t stand with support, hold furniture or crawl, or even get into the crawling position.

they babble but not really two syllables, mostly they just make a lot of noises/vowel sounds. They have great eye contact but I don’t feel they understand anything I say yet.

I suppose I’m looking for any experiences of being in the black/grey for all areas and what that meant for your child?

they both had a rocky start to life so I was always anticipating that there could be future issues for them, it’s not a shock as such. They had a very low birth weight and spent 6 weeks in NICU.
