Help 5 year old - emotional regulation

My 5 year old DD stuggles with emotional regulation. Generally a happy child but struggles to deal with disappointment/ losing things/ general rough and tumble of other kids. She does get some help at school but looking for good resources (books/ apps/ tv shows etc) that I can use with her to help her manage her emotions?

Thank you :)

What sort of help does she get at school @YesIdosabroso? Are they doing the Zones of Regulation with her?

Following this as we are in the same position Smile

Is your DD getting any help at school @c307?

A little bit, they try and help her with breathing exercises and the usual colour monster sort of things. I'm thinking more for at home and on play dates when she gets stressed

@CadyEastman Thanks - I actually haven't heard of that? She has basically has started going to a weekly small support group where they focus on social skills, emotions etc. All very new. She is actually such a happy.child but gets overwhelmed easily and struggles to calm down. She's not creating big scenes at school but can be weepy/ withdrawn.ASD diagnosed at 3.

Right ok, I did wonder from the things she's struggling with.

Does she have an ECHP? It sounds as though she needs more support then she's currently receiving Flowers
