Children not listening

Im at the end of my tether. Two DDs ages 8 & 10. They need told repeatedly to do stuff, I’m talking basic stuff. They just want to sit about. School mornings are a daily battle, wheedling and cajoling followed by shouting. Then of course the guilt sets in.

Ive had to walk out the house as I’ve raged at them - asked them to tidy themselves up before we leave to go somewhere (not going now). Asked 3 times. No response or action, other than the oldest saying to the youngest “you go” and the two of them debating. Lost the rag with them and now I’m the bad one.

Honestly feel like a fucking failure.

How does everyone else manage?

You are not alone. Mine are same ages and we have same daily battles.

I wish i had a solution.
