Child DLA wait times

Hi I am waiting for a decision for my daughter. I sent the forms off on the 11/12/23 I received a letter dating 28/12/23 to say they had received them then again 9/2/24 to say they still hadn’t made a decision. I understand the wait time is unbelievably long I was hoping to find out what the average time one has had to wait/ approximately where they are at if you have submitted a claim in the summer/ early autumn are you still waiting? I am certain my daughter will be awarded something she’s 3.5 and in the summer had a tonic clonic seizure that lasted approximately 25 minutes her EEG was abnormal showing frequent bursts of focal epileptiform activity. She has no sense of danger and cannot manage her feelings. She needs caring for in the night as she can be up between 20 minutes to 2 hours every single night. We had an appointment last week with the paediatrician as I struggle with her behaviour she is very hyperactive and cannot focus she flits from one thing to another. The paediatrician didn’t seem too concerned and said she did not see ADHD although would like to see her again in 10 months time. Although the head banging seems to have stopped since she started her meds she still needs her pushchair as a safety precaution.

No idea on the DLA wait times unfortunately. Just wanted to offer a virtual handhold though, that seems an awful lot to cope with Flowers

Have you found the SN Section yet? You might get some support in there.
