Hey guys just had a phone call of my HV to ask me some follow up questions from my daughters 12 month review she’s 14 months in 10 days, she’s doing well in everything apart from problem solving, the questions such as will
Your baby drop a toy into a box if you show her, I have been trying to do this for months with her but she just always wants to them out the box instead, should I be worried about this? Thank you

Firstly, it's really, really good that the HV is following up on your DD's progress.

Can you remember how your DD scored on her 12 month check and has the HV said when she'll see her again?

@CadyEastman they never actually said what her scores was at the 12 month check up they phoned be back and said she is in the grey area for problem solving and she’s just 5 marks off being in the white area they are coming out to see her on Wednesday, I’m just find it confusing as the only questions she couldn’t do was put a raisen into a plastic bottle and try and reach something out of reach with a stick

They're not supposed to be white in every section, I think it's aimed so that most are grey in one or two areas.

It sounds like DD is doing well and the HV is doing a good job in following up Wink

Your daughter does not need to know how to problem solve at 12 months old I don't know who comes up with this stuff I still can't problem solve very well my friends son couldn't walk until 2 my other friends my nephew can't speak at 2.5.
But they will all get there in the end.
Please don't worry.
