Is this the dreaded 4 month regression?

My DD has just turned 16 weeks, she was a dream baby up until a week or so ago. She has never been a great sleeper at night but we managed to get a routine to 6.30pm - 10pm - 3/5am - 7am.

Recently she has been whinging constantly, I can’t put her down for a few minutes on her bouncer chair or playmat without her crying. It seems as though she is constantly irritable and fights naps to the point she is screaming. She will eventually go down for 20-30 mins in the day unless she’s in the pram, she will nap for 40 ish mins. We’ve moved house this week, not sure if that’s a coincidence , she has been around us packing, stressed etc.

Her temperament has changed so much, she’s a totally different baby. She isn’t waking every hour in the night but will randomly cry at around 12pm / 1am and then go back to sleep. She will then wake for a feed between 3-5am. I wonder whether this is usual for 4 month olds… is this a regression.. has anyone gone through anything similar?

sounds identical to how my 4 month old has been the last couple of weeks! He is 18.5 weeks now. He used to be happy on his mat or bouncer for a good chunk of time, enough that I could get things done, but now wants to be held, or helped to sit up constantly or else he whinges then cries. It's exhausting and I get nothing done. He still only contact naps or naps in his pram, but these have actually got longer in the last few days so hoping that's getting better. At night he goes down about 8 and used to wake at 4 or 5 for a bottle, but started waking at 2 or 3am as well as shouting out at other times a couple of weeks ago- the last few nights have been better though and he's slept a longer stretch, so hopefully it won't get too much worse. Sorry, no advice, just couldn't not comment when it sounds so similar to how my boy is 😅

@teksab how strange! We will have to unite and stay strong 💪🏼 Atleast there’s someone else in the same boat! I’m not getting anything done, not great timing with moving house 😱 hopefully it’s a phase they grow out of…
