There is a review at 6-9 months. DD1 had hers at 7 months.

unicorn123 · 23/03/2008 18:25

Dont know if its the same now cos dd1 is now 8 and i cant find dd2s book.

DontDreamItBeIt · 23/03/2008 18:25

Ours is usually at8 months.

WigWamBam · 23/03/2008 18:42

Dd had one at 8 months.

They don't do the checks at all in lots of areas now.

Nemoandthefishes · 23/03/2008 18:55

think its 8 or 9mths

betterhalf · 23/03/2008 18:59

In my area check ups are done at 6-8 weeks,7 months, 2 years and 3 1/2 years. Hope that helps.

CorrieDale · 23/03/2008 19:00

8-12 months it says in my red book. DD had hers at 8 months.

cathshuck · 23/03/2008 19:22

Will give them a ring tomorrow. Was just getting a bit concerned as they are so short of HV that we have only seen them once since she was born so we dont hear from them like we did with ds.

we dont get an 8 month or a 2 year check any more. The last check ds had was at around 8 weeks. It is left up to the parent to decide if their lo has any problems/issues

SlartyBartFastlaidanEgg · 23/03/2008 19:37

do you not get 8 month hearing distraction test

cathshuck · 23/03/2008 19:43

Don't bother phoning tomorrow though - it's a Bank Holiday

SlartyBartFastlaidanEgg · 23/03/2008 19:45

they really are cutting back...
do you want to see HV?

SlartyBartFastlaidanEgg · 23/03/2008 19:46

my youngest is 8 and at that point there were stopping 3 and three quarter check up. I insisted on one though.

cathshuck · 23/03/2008 19:53

I dont really want to see a hv as ours are so pushed they can be quite short and rude to you. Just feel like I am not quite as rigourous with checks and things as with ds. Actually I know Im not as quite often cant be arsed to walk all the way there with a grumpy baby and stroppy toddler as they only ever have afternoon appts free.

my ds got a newborn hearing test the day after he was born which came back ok which is why they dont do the one at 8 months old any more

SlartyBartFastlaidanEgg · 23/03/2008 21:32

well in that case they should be in touch with you?

gagarin · 23/03/2008 21:44

In our area we get offered a check between 9-12 months. 6 months is early.
