PLEASE HELP!! Baby not eating

I have an 8 month old baby who I have been trying to wean for 3 months. However she will not eat anything. Anytime I put a spoon near her mouth she cries and BLW she won’t put any to her mouth.

Ive been to the doctors but they haven’t been particularly helpful. I have been referred to a dietician but the wait could potentially be months by which time we are even further from her not eating

She is only gaining weight very slowly and I offer her milk as much as I can (breast and bottle) but she hasn’t got much of an appetite.

Has anyone else’s baby been like this? What did you do to get them eating? Any advice or help?

No idea if it will help but we started our little one with one of those net things that they can suck or chew on and taste things through. They can hold it themselves like a dummy. Might be worth a go to start things off. We didn't have any trouble weaning so I'm sorry to hear about your experience and i hope it improves.

You should let her play with food
Also keep in mind baby gag reflex is located on top of their tongue, so try offering food with smaller spoons more suitable for babies that are not too deep.

What happens if you put food on her tray @RosePippi and let her play whilst you eat your food?
