Hi there
So I have a 9 year old son who's dad ive separated from years ago and now I've been with my current partner 7 years .
My sons behaviour has been terrible and the last year has got a lot worse . We are getting help with a parent support worker currently, but she said if he has adhd or any other condition a diagnosis can take a long time.
The reason for my thread today is my partner is struggling with keeping his cool with his behavior and I understand it's not his son and my son destroys stuff, speaks to us like crap and is nasty to our 5 year old daughter . My partner booked a holiday in May half term to a haven type thing, and asked if we cannot take my son. I got quite annoyed as although yes its challenging atm but surely we can't just go away and not take him? I do understand it's gard because the last 2 holidays we have been on my son has kicked off the majority, and it's not really been enjoyable .
What's thoughts on this ?

If you think he may have ADHD have you spoken to his Teacher or the GP?

And it doesn't sound like your new DP likes him very much. That could very well be impacting on his behaviour.
