I’ve just gone to collect my daughter who is almost 7 from after school club.
one of the ladies came out and said could she have a private word so said that was fine. I was absolutely horrified and shocked by what she told me.
my daughter attends breakfast and after school club x3 days a week. Apparently today my daughter went up to the lady in question and just said ‘toast’ without please or thank you. She said we must say please and thank you. At after school club my daughter then said ‘biscuit’ to the same lady without saying please or thank you. She’s never done this before. She then told the lady she was fat, then back tracked and said ‘it’s because you are funny’. I burst into tears when the lady told me this and apologised profusely. I said we had been struggling with her behaviour for a few weeks since I had been unwell with the flu - she has become secretive, doesn’t listen, teases her younger sister and I’ve struggled wanting to be near her lately. We ask if she has had a good day or a challenging day at school. But she says no and that she plays with her friends etc. apparently the class teacher was shocked by her behaviour as she is normally well behaved in class.
im at my wits end with her behaviour and I’ve made my daughter do a card for the lady from the breakfast/after school club to apologise. The lady said it might be a phase but I’m petrified that my daughter has turned into a really horrible child and that she won’t ever go back to the lovely little girl she once was prior to starting school. I’m completely broken after today. I feel so silly for bursting into tears but I just felt sickened by her rude and abhorrent behaviour in school. Don’t know what I’m asking just feel like I’ve failed as a parent.
