My ds is 13 weeks and is starting to teeth (sp?). He is constantly sucking and biting his fists and has made them quite sore. Have tryed teething rings etc but are a bit small for his mouth as is only teeny and he prefers his hand. Have tried putting scratch mitts on him but he screams blue murder when i do, any suggestions? is there any cream i can put on them that is ok to use if he is putting in mouth as they look really sore?

You could try putting vaseline on his hands - it will act as a barrier cream and should protect them.

It's not poisonous so won't hurt him, but he may not like the feel of it in his mouth.

Have you tried letting him suck on a muslin or a wet facecloth? My DS also suck his fists but loves to give a muslin a good gnaw and he can manipulate it really easily (bit older than your DS tho, 16 weeks).
