I posted on another forum but didn't get any feedback.
This is slightly embarrassing but my almost 3 Yr old took it upon himself to take his soiled pants off yesterday and smear the poo literally all over the walls. He made handprints, dragged it round to make a picture/pattern and covered the bannisters, radiators, walls, carpet and shower walls.. it was A LOT.
He has been potty trained for almost a year, has the occasional accident but has never done this before!
He was quite loose as he had a tummy bug at the start of the week so maybe he just didn't make it to the toilet in time. But why did he smear it?!!
Does anyone have any experience of this? I know its an autistic trait as my friends son does it (who is on the spectrum)
DS has 2 older half sisters and 2 older half brothers. The boys have ADHD and I know this can present a similar to asd.
I also know it might have been done in defiance as I'd recently told him no more snacks and he'd gone off in the hump.
How do I deal with this if I want it to stop?
Any advice / help would be appreciated!
