Advice for 2 year old

Hi I am having problems with my 2 year old and a bit concerned!

My 2 year old is so picky when eating. He won't try new foods. If he doesn't like the feel of it/ texture he won't attempt it. The last few days he's barely ate anything however I don't know if this is due to h meeting.

He won't have his milk bottle before bed either and has refused it the last few nights.

I am getting concerned now as I don't think he is getting enough food as he needs. He also looks pale and tired all the time which I imagine is due to him not eating much.

Any advice is much appreciated xx

Picky eating is almost always just a part of normal development in toddlers, and the usual advice is to always serve something you know they'll eat, with other foods alongside (but not touching or mixed in), with no pressure to eat/taste/touch the new stuff. The theory is that they gradually get used to a broader range of food, starting with just how it looks and smells, and eventually are willing to try eating it. Most children do grow out of the extreme pickiness, eventually.

That said, how long has he been looking pale and tired? A few days coupled with going off his milk could just be some normal toddler illness, but if it's been longer than that, I'd make a GP appointment. A healthy two year old is usually full of energy (even those that seem to be living off fresh air and a handful of acceptable foods).
