Angry at baby

My 6 month old is teething and I really try everything I can.. teething powder, teething gel, calpol, neurofen.

I know its not his fault but his constant moaning is driving me nuts!! I'm trying to hold my temper, I'd never hit/ hurt him.. I just end up screaming "shut up".

Am I a bad mum, really feel guilty

Can anybody relate? 😪
What do you do?

Hello feeling the same with my 8 month old. I have different play stations around the house to rotate them and move them to and also TV - music with songs helps drown the moans out and occupy them for short times. My baby sleeps about 12 out of 24hrs so I am exhausted by the relentlessness of it. I hope someone has better advice because I feel like a shit parent for not enjoying this phase.

Have you got anyone who can have him for half an hour?

Crazycatlady79 · 04/03/2024 03:09

Get some ear defenders/noise cancelling headphones.
I understand that it's frustrating, but screaming "Shut up" at a baby isn't good for them OR you.

How are you both getting on now @Missguidedsmiles?

No you are not a bad mum you are human. I don't know why when we become mums we are suddenly expected to become superwomen who feel nothing but pure bliss. Try to get out and about I always find that helps. They almost get distracted from the pain lol mine was much much much more difficult at home, out and about he was distracted and stimulated.
