Almost 12M old screeching and refusing all naps and sleep

My 12M old has suddenly become a crazy baby at bed and naptime. I don't know if taking her first steps has anything to do with it. We have a whole hour of non stop SCREECHING and fat tears rolling down her little face. She is quite good with language already and shouts GO GO GO between screams and points to the door. If I follow her pointing she points me all the way downstairs and then just calms down and starts trying to play with toys till around 10pm before she then protests a little less. I've tried everything, 2 naps, 1 nap, resetting her sleep by getting her up early, following the very typical wakeup, feed and nap schedules I see other mums have (they're all generally similar for her age group). I don't know what is and I write this as I sit whilst she goes through one of her reading books because I finally gave in and couldn't hack the screeching
.

That does sound incredibly hard. I've always had a rule that once you start the bedtime routine, they don't come downstairs again until morning, unless it's an emergency of course.

The screeching sounds terrible but I think I would try her with a dose of calpol now, just in case it's pain or discomfort related and just try and settle her upstairs when it's time for bed, even if it takes a long time.

Is she getting outside each day too?

@CadyEastman I did have that rule but sometimes it gets so hard and our neighbours have 3 little children who have school and she can get incredibly loud. They do understand but I guess it's just me. From tomorrow I will implement this rule again and just do whatever till she realises I'm not giving in thank you, guess that gave me the motivation I needed!
She hasn't got a tooth yet so have started calpol incase her 1st tooth is popping through but I don't know if she's in pain because she's absolutely happy/jolly and active the rest of the day apart from sleep time

@CadyEastman yes we go out for a walk, to nans house, baby groups etc something at least once each day because she does get bored easily

I had one who got bored easily too. Did lots of things like playgroups, swimming, going to the park. It did help but it only made him fitter! Grin
