Child coping with baby

Hi I'm looking for some tips& help.

I have a toddler, a 4.5 year old & a newborn. The toddler & 4.5 year old seem very overwhelmed by the baby when she is upset. The baby is a very settled baby but very attached me and exclusively breastfed.

At times when the baby is crying and I am trying to settle her or when I'm trying to sort toddler & older daughter & the baby is still crying (example changing toddlers nappy) my 4.5 year old is very overwhelmed. She tries to settle baby- shake toys, cuddle etc & will look panicked, be a bit hyper and appear very heightened.

I am very very worried about this. Please help.

Would things like weighted blanket, sensory toys etc help so she has a calm place to go maybe?

It's difficult, but will get better. My eldest is older- she was nearly 8 when baby arrived, but until then had been an only child and very used to her own space, would often go and find a quiet corner if she was around too much chaos and noise. Baby was a colicky newborn and VERY loud. One big thing we found helped was ear defenders (she had some big headphone type ones from a gig we went to, but you can get smaller ear bud type things) and it took the edge off the crying noise and helped calm my daughter. I was known to use them of an evening too as he could cry for up to 5 hours! I think maybe a quiet corner with some ear defenders, a blanket, book, whatever things she likes could well help.

Thanks @teksab! I do have ear defenders so I will definitely try those! I wouldn't even thought to do that
