Hi all i recently seen a video online with a child who has autism and my 11 month old has similar traits such has hand pinching

Flapping hands

Both hands over ears sometimes

Scrunched faces ( sorry don't no how to describe it

And just some other similar stims is this just case of overthinking

Autism is a lot more than what you describe. 11 months is far to young to be worried about autism.

How old was the child in the video? A lot of the 'red flags' for autism are completely developmentally typical behaviours for babies. Certainly there are cases where parents picked up signs that something wasn't quite right in babyhood, but equally, there are a huge number of cases where it's just a baby exploring how his/her body works and enjoying (or not, in the case of ear covering) how different things feel.

My sons autistic and didn’t do any of the things you describe so I don’t think you can tell for sure either way at that age

when my ds was 11/12 months I was convinced that he may grow up to be autistic because he done all of the above and more but he’s 18months now and I don’t think he’s going to be autistic now at all , like someone said above autism is way more than some funny movements it’s a social and communication disorder so when little one gets a bit older keep an eye on how they communicate. 11 months is super young
