Illness- nursery?

Hi all!

I'm a desperate first time mum that needs some advice.

My 13 month old started nursery in November and goes twice per week. Since December, she has had a cold cough. The cough has been so bad that she's been sick at night and has coughing fits that go on all night. We have been given antibiotics, inhalers and now more antibiotics- and nothing is helping. She's a really good sleeper, but both me and my husband have been struggling to get much shut eye at night due to her cough. This is out of worry, not because we're being selfish Blush it doesn't help that she currently has antibiotics for an ear infection and tonsillitis.

Can anyone give me any advice or words of wisdom that will give me some hope?

Gp is also investigating an immune issue as she's had 4 lots of antibiotics in the past 6 months!

The worry is killing me!!!

TIA

Hello,
have you tried a humidifier at night? That helps DS when he has a cough. Its worth noting that he also had a continuous cough for quite some months after starting nursery - it does fade over time.

Hi!

Thank you for replying :)

I've got a dehumidifier- would that work??

I'm not medical so I couldn't say for sure, but my understanding is that the humidifier adds moisture to the air which in turn helps the coughing (especially if you have heating etc on) but a dehumidifier would take the moisture out...
