In the last few months I've become very aware that my 3.5yr old can't pay attention for the duration of a bedtime story. She always begs for at least a couple of stories before bed but as soon as I start reading she seems to completely lose interest; she starts singing to herself, talking to herself, poking me in the face, or she'll constantly talk over me really loudly asking questions about the book that aren't really part of the story like "why isn't such and such character on this page" etc. It drives me a bit mad as I really want to instil a love of reading in her but the whole thing ends up being a bit exhausting and noisy. Anyone else experience this at a similar age?
