My DS is almost 5 and often snatches things from his younger DD. DH and I always intervene when we see it happening as in we explain it's wrong to snatch and ask him to give the toy back or if he doesn't tell him we are counting to 5 and taking giving the toy back to DD. I'm not sure if he does this at school as his teacher says he behaves well.
He was like this as a toddler with other kids ant playgroups and we used the same technique and if he got too angry/upset we would leave. I thought by almost 5 it would be better but it's not. Is this normal? He still gets so possessive over toys and also gets very angry with us when we call him out on the snatching.
