Is it normal for 5mo old to…

So my LB is 5mo and he’s constantly got his fingers/hands in his mouth.

now I know that it’s normal and his way of exploring/learning about textures etc etc but they are literally never out his mouth.

he has been teething he’s now got his 2 bottom teeth but they’ve fully come through now and he’s not really grumpy anymore so I don’t think it’s that.

i suppose I’m asking because he’s 5mo now and has plenty of floor time but is showing no signs whatsoever of rolling. Similarly he gets plenty of tummy time but spends that much time with us hands in his mouth he always face planting. He can lift his head up fairly well as I used toys etc to tempt him but he’ll do it for a few seconds then fingers bk in mouth and face down

just looking for advise/tips.

doesn't have a dummy would never take one.

Sounds pretty normal to me OP! Wink

Totally normal.

Dd1 rolled a couple of times about 7 months, then didn't roll again until 9 months when she started crawling and found it useful. That was her all over; didn't do something until she found it useful and then could do it consistently.

DD2 rolled earlier, but as she's missing half her left arm, it was easier for her, and was also crawling much earlier. That's her too. Does anything that makes life interesting. 😁

@PinkMimosa @MargaretThursday ahh thank you both. My DD was rolling all over the house at this age and she’s still a whippet now. DS is the complete opposite extremely laid back 😅 wel just keep doing what we’re doing.

The 6 month ages & stages asks if they are rolling from their front to back but it cover what I think is a huge age range, from 5 months 0 days to 6 months 30 days. They change so fast at this age. If he's not flipped from his front to his back by 7 months, I think id mention it to the HV, but it's she's away yet Wink
