Hello all,
I just wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has ever expected similar with their little ones. My little girl is 18 months old now and still isn't able to move independently. She can sit up very well, but can't put herself into sitting and should she fall can't sit back up. She can't bare weight on arms and legs and hasn't ever tried to crawl or walk in anyway.
Obviously we are very worried but over her 18 months we have had GP appointments, Health Visitor appointments all of which would say, she's just behind and will get there.
Yesterday we finally had a pediatrics hospital appointment and they want to do blood tests now to see if there is any underlying to cause he gross motor delay and have said she is very delayed ( hate that word). She is so switched on in every other developmental aspect with play, speaking, fine motor and is a very happy little girl.
I am now worried due to her being 18 months that something else will come back from the bloods. Does anyone have any experience with similar or any other advice? Its so hard when you see every other 18 month year old running around and enjoying and she is still unable to move. They have said she will get there still but its so worrying just always waiting and not seeing any other children in the same position.
Thank you so much in advance for any advise. x
