17 months DS delays concerns

Hello, I have a son that just turned 17 months
things of concern are:

  • not imitating gestures, but imitates some action, like if I put blocks in a bucket he will do it to, if I hit the piano with a stick he will do it too
  • does not point, but reaches to things
  • only babbles with no meaning, ta-ta, da-da, na-mama, ma-ma( he started with papa, baba, mama, stopped for a mint then started saying new consonants like caca mama and so on, stops babbling for a while and then starts saying new stuff with no meaning)
  • i think he started to wave bye, but waving is up and down when he sees the door and I say bye bye. But when this happens he also started to move his hands a lot like flapping but only for a few seconds
  • meh does not comprehend well, if I ask where is the light he will look up and reach his arm, but if I ask about the tv he will still look at the light

things he is good at:

  • eats with his hands
  • if he is hungry he will go to his chair
  • if he wants something on the counter he will go there an grunt/cry
  • he gives me toys if he wants me to do something to them or give me the remote if he wants me to turn the tv on
  • if I say give me he will give whatever it’s in his hand to me, but if it’s food he will feed me with it
  • if I say let’s scare dad he will go to him and tap him
  • he will look at me if I call his name, good eye contact
  • if I gesture and say come here he will come if he wants to
  • stacks cups, rings, drinks from cup, does not play with cars at all, we have a teddy and he hugs and eats his nose

i will go to a psychiatrist to see him but I just am full of worries, all I think is ASD and that he will never talk in his life and I’m so scared. Do you have any good stories of late talkers?
