August babies

Hello

I've really not had a concern having an August daughter , she's only 3 and settling well into pre-school.

However, had a play date with a mum who is also a teacher and her girls and she said she really noticed how her six yo lagged behind being an August baby and as a teacher she can tell the same of her students even in high school.

Thats got me a bit concerned, do you have August babies ? How did they do at school? Or more generally in their development?

DD1 is an August baby but always seems to have thrived at school, as she is bright and sociable. So much depends on the individual child. She's now studying for A levels ...

Both my oldest son and daughter were born in August and they both did great in school, I have never heard of the August baby 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

I am an ‘August baby’ although not sure this concern was a thing when I was at school…my DH is also an August baby, and both our birthdays are right at the end of the month, can’t say it ever bothered me. Which is why I don’t really have any concerns over my DD also being an August baby (it’s a very busy month 😂)

DSIL was born in August. I think she's done ok, lovely house, great children, career seems to be doing ok as she's just been put on the board of directors.

I can understand the comments nothing you but I don't think that is everyone's experience Wink
