Tics (not animal)

Hi my 8 year old son has tics (not animal) haha. He flicks his arms, squints his eyes, weird mouth movements and has started walking on his tiptoes. He fiddles with his privates all the daay whether we are out or in the house. One tic will stop then he starts doing something else then that will stop etc etc What can I do? Do I ignore them? Do I tell him to stop?

Hey Rachael,
they do suggest ignoring them. Bringing attention can make them worse. We have just been through CBIT with my daughter. It worked some but they’ve since re surfaced. We will start training again. Might help mentioning this to your dr. Good luck :)

Hi, thank you for your reply. I think I might have to take him to the docs to be honest.
