3 year old relentless tantrums

It's everyday. I'm walking on eggshells. She's been going for 40 minutes and hasn't had dinner yet. I'm absolutely broken.

40 minutes for a tantrum could be normal but if it's regularly happening I'd be tempted to ask your HV to assess her using the Social & Emotional Ages & Stages.

Thank you. We've had two today. I'm so drained by it.

@DueyCheatemAndHow I just came onto this forum to look for advice with the same thing. I'm finding my three year old so challenging at the moment, she's so defiant and everything is such a challenge (getting dressed, having a bath, going to bed). She's also really clingy to me at the moment and won't let my DP do anything for her at home. It is draining! Would love some advice on strategies that actually work, or failing that, some solidarity.

I've found TOTALLY ignoring her at home works. But it becomes tricky when I need her to do something like leave or get a coat on.

I cried in the loo today. I feel your pain.

@DueyCheatemAndHow brilliant thanks, I have heard that helps so planning to try the same. Yep, I cried in the loo today. And I'm already feeling anxious about tomorrow. She's always been quite strong willed but definitely feel like this is a whole new level!
