My son has done this his whole life and he’s 8 ! He holds it in for days and days and when he does go coz his body makes him go he passes an adult size and sometimes bigger. He still wears a nappy for bed as well. Sorry I can’t offer any advice but you ain’t alone x

Could he possibly be constipated @badger89?

badger89 · 12/11/2023 14:10

He is on laxative medicine daily

I thought that he might be having problems Wink

If you haven't already, have a look at the ERIC website. It sounds as though he could be chronically constipated Flowers

Can you ask for a referral to a continence specialist? We had a hard time with our dd when she potty trained and the GP and HV weren't very helpful. I found the specialist much better. We were told to make sure getting enough laxative to keep the stool soft . We found giving our daughter a daily smoothie really helped.
