Jet lag

We have just got back to UK on Sunday night and DS(6 months) has jet lag - while we were away his sleeping was great but since being back here it's been awful, up about 6 times in the last couple of nights - how long does jet lag last for usually in babies?? I am worried that he is going to go back to really bad sleeping pattern as he was in before we went away

Hi there - it usually takes about a week to sort themselves out i think. What was the time difference?

One approach would be to give him a dose of calpol night at bedtime tonight (or 30 mins before if he's having trouble dropping off in the first place). Do this for a couple of nights and make sure day naps are normal length and at normal times (missing one or cutting them short if you have to). This will help to break the cycle and get him back on track.
