Is this normal

Hello, I have an 8 year old and a 5 year old. They argue a lot but there are lots of happy times too. They’re good kids and socialise well with children at school and their cousins. However the 5 year old screams and shouts very loudly when he doesn’t get what he wants and particularly last night he did that and everyone in the restaurant was staring at us. I would like to know if developmentally this is something not normal. Admittedly the restaurant was quite a young hang out burger place and most of the customers looked like they were not at the life stage of being parents so perhaps that’s why they were less understanding. I got a lot of judgey looks. DH and I were paying attention to our children and not staring at our phones or anything. When the 5 year old was screaming and shouting my DH arranged for him to have some colours and paper. The 5 year old is quite bright. He has surprised us with his maths skills. Not anything so outstanding but bright. Not sure if relevant. Thank you

What usually happens when he shouts?

And do you think he's slightly out of step with how his peers behave and how DS1 behaved at this stage?
