Hello mums...
Last time I was here- I was going through my conceiving journey, now that little boy has just turned 3!
I am sick with worry and I have no one to talk to about this. I live overseas and I have no mama friends. Our little boy is speech delayed, his attention is often distracted elsewhere and he is often on a move. It is very frustrating... He is 36 months (3) and we haven't trained him on a potty yet, he refuses totally. He is using singlular words mostly, some 2 word phrases like "wash teeth", "open door". He knows colours, can count 1-30, knows his ABC and recognises all his letters, but when I try to ask him about something, as simple as "yes or no" sort of questions- he just walks away or makes an odd "ahhh" noise with frustrated face.
We are waiting for autism evaluation, but I doubt he has it. He loves cuddles, asks to play together, manages to look at the eyes when he wants, doesn't do things like lining toys up etc. He prefers to be around people vs being alone, however doesn't interact with people unless he knows them well. He is a little fidgety, so I am guessing he could be ADHD..? He climbs everywhere, is very active, often does something that he knows is not allowed to get my attention. Things gotten much worse after a birth of his sister when he was 2. It is super hard to find a specialist for ADHD where we are, so I am desperate to get some indication of other mum's experiences. What are your experiences, any of you going through same..? ( For more context - we are international family that spoke to our son in 2-3 different languages until he was 2,5. Only last 7 months he has English as the only language at home). He started going to kindergarten a month ago, that is his first experience with other kids in the non home environment.
