My 4 year old daughter is the light of my life, such a happy and wonderful little girl. But since starting reception in September, each day is filled with emotional outbursts, anger, exhaustion and so many tears!

She's great at school and she's always had a good day when I pick her up but I have to drag her out of bed in the mornings as I think she could sleep another hour if time allowed.

Now it's half term and I've been trying to do something fun each day with her, I'm met with attitude and anger. Don't get me wrong, she's still a sweet, polite and loving girl but I've definitely seen a change in her overall.

Anyone else in the same boat?

She sounds exhausted OP. I'd have a couple of chilled days at home and some early nights to try and let her catch up a bit with her sleep. If you're having to drag her out of bed in the mornings, it's usually a sign that she's not getting enough sleep Flowers

My DD was the same, there were a lot of tears. I used to put her in front of the TV the minute she got home with a glass of milk. It got a lot better after the Christmas term when she got more used to the shock of school.
