9mo waving?

We’ve always frantically waved goodbye/hello when entering room or leaving etc. Finally the other day he waved back ( cutest thing ever) me and DH clapped and cheered and DS looked so so pleased with himself. Since then he’s constantly waving at us, he now wakes up in his cot waving, constantly waving at us and even the cats. But he looks really upset if we don’t wave back or clap especially when he doesn’t get a reaction from the cats. Nanan visited today and he spent her visit showing off the wave.

it’s absolutely the cutest thing so far I think, seeing how happy he is with himself.

Question though should we be limiting the waves to hello and goodbye to show him what it means? Or let him just enjoy his new found skill? We basically spent the day waving at each other today 😂 also should pointing come now? He tries to clap but hasn’t pointed yet
