Ds has now started occasionally pointed at people a couple of times and said 'looks like x' - e.g. just now he pointed at the newsreader lady and said 'looks like 'ellie' - ellie being our cleaner. And he was right about it.

Just wondered if that's unusual as I was quite surprised! Not proclaiming he is a genius just curious

I thought you were going to say '14.'

Not unusual.

Which newsreader does your cleaner resemble, more importantly, and can you claim to your neighbours that Natasha Kaplinski scours your loo?

ha ha - actually the cleaner is quite lovely.

I honestly was just curious so don't mind at all that it's not unusual!

It's Trevor McDonald isn't it.

I think it's pretty normal. My mum used to look like Angela Rippon.

My dad looks like Ronnie Barker (RB in the 70s when he had brown hair). Apparently I used to point at the screen and say 'Daddy!'. He worked away from home a lot and I was convinced that really was him. I suspect he wasn't flattered as he was in his 20s at the time!

It was that woman with dark hair in a chin length bob on BBC this morning - she sometimes does bbc breakfast. I've no idea of her name.

Lol at Nicholas Witchell etc in a pinny cleaning my loo!

Actually one of ds's look early alike observations was pointing at Des O'Connor on TV and saying daddy - not very flattering for his dad.

And another time he pointed at an ex boyfriend of mine's photo on facebook and said 'daddy' which got me a bit worried but luckily he was several years before dh so no chance that ds knew his paternity better than I do!

My dad was in the navy and apparently I used to run up to anyone in a naval uniform shouting 'daddy daddy' when he was away at sea.
