14 months and no words ?!

My baby girl is 14 months and does not say any words yet, she only babbles noises such as dadada , yayayay, nanana ... and so on but nothing makes sense or has meaning. Should I be concerned at this early on??? She shakes her head to say no, and she is loud and does babble a lot .. Iknow I should never compare but it's hard not to when the babies at her play group are the same age and say between 3 and 5 words!

Same as yours, just lots of repeated sounds - mamamama, nanananana, didididi

@Geordiebabe85 that's reassuring to hear! Has anyone gave you any advice or told you that it's normal for this age ??

My eldest was similar and I really worried. Everyone told me she'd get there. She's now 3 and DOES NOT STOP talking. Literally from the minute she's up until the minute she closes her eyes. So this time round I'm trying not to stress.

@Geordiebabe85 very true, my friends son only babbled till he was 3 so he was classed as non verbal then after his 3rd birthday he randomly just counted to 10 out loud and hasn't stopped talking since! It's very strange how they all develop in their own time but they do, very natural to worry for our little ones. I think as long as they are babbling and trying to communicate and make sounds then that's positive
