My beautiful little girl is 14 months and does not crawl or walk, she is seeing a physiotherapist and also a paediatrician but is it normal for some babies to be this behind with motor skills?! She is very dinky, only 16lbs. She's healthy and happy which is most important but I can't help but worry, specially when I see 11 month olds run past her in play group! Please don't tell me not to compare because I don't sit and dwell on it at all but obviously it's concerning to see at times ...

@samybooker

my DS didn’t crawl until a week after his first birthday didn’t pull to stand until 13 months , he’s almost 15months now and starting to take his first wobbly steps but he’s getting better and better every day ( can walk across the living room now ) he also had to see a physio but she said there was absolutely nothing wrong with him she noticed how much he talked and said that he was more than likely focusing on that rather motor skills , hopefully physio can give you some answers , does she bare weight on her legs if you put her in a standing position?

@Raeleigh24 that's reassuring to hear, my little one doesn't say words yet, she babbles loud and often but only says dadada , mamama , yayay, nanana and random stuff. The physio basically said she's behind but not by worrying amounts and that she sees babies the same age in need of a lot more support. She is only 13.5 months and very dinky at 16lbs, she's in the 2nd centile.

Her speech sounds ok but I think I'd do this quick SaLT progress checker, just to check Wink
