Hello, my baby is nearly 7 months old and hates tummy time. When he was 4 months he was being watched for his weight as he kept dropping percentiles. Because of this we stopped tummy time for a few weeks as he would always be sick during it and obviously we wanted to keep as much milk in him as possible. At 5 months he could sit up really well (we have to put him into sitting position), and at 6.5 months the started taking steps with his push along Walker on his own. However, he doesn’t roll (will only roll once from front to back as soon as we put him on his belly), & when he’s on his back he just lays there looking around, making no attempt to roll again or to reach toys etc. he makes no attempts to try to get into sitting position. When sitting he will reach for toys but if he can’t reach them he just starts playing with his hands instead. He loves to walk around - with us holding him up or with his walker. But he doesn’t try to pull himself up to a standing position. I’ve not been worried until now, but all the other 7/8 month old babies we see regularly are moving around, some crawling, all rolling, some pulling to stand etc. So now I’m a bit worried about his development. Everyone says he’s going to skip crawling and go straight to walking, which is fine, but he should be able to get himself to sit or standing position at some point too? He’s very chatty, sleeps well, pretty happy in general. Are there any other babies who have done the same and all been ok developmentally? I don’t need to worry just yet?
