10 month check

Hi! Sorry very long post!

My DD just turned 10 months this week, we have her 9-12 month check this Friday (got the letter today, good job I'm off work 🙄)

I've filled in the questionnaire and it's left me really worried and stressed. There's five categories, she's okay with fine motor skills, problem solving and personal/emotional development.

Communication I wasn't too worried about as last week we had her first word!! But she scores quite badly as she doesn't follow commands without being shown, for example she waves but we have to do it first. She doesn't pass me or drop something if I ask her to.

Gross motor skills I was already a bit concerned about but knew the review was coming so planned on raising it then, now I'm worried I should have got support sooner!! She was a late sitter and has only just started crawling, and she's still not very fast or confident with it. She refuses to stand up 99% of the time and will just raise her legs up. She scores really low on the questionnaire.

Im just asking if anybody has had experience with their babies scoring low in certain aspects of this questionnaire and if they went on to develop normally? Am I terrible for waiting this long to raise concerns about her gross motor skills? I have just been thinking well all babies develop differently and telling myself it's okay because she does other things well.

She's a great eater, a social little baby and has settled in really well to nursery so I thought we were doing ok! Just very stressed now.

Any advice appreciated.
