DD hates school

DD is 5 and has just gone into KS1. She's a summer baby so one of the youngest. She thrived in FS2. Loved going to school although there were tears when she went in as she wanted to come home with me. This only happened when I dropped her off (I do 3 drop offs a week due to work) - whenever it was anyone else she was fine going in.

Well she's been in KS1 now for over a week and as the days have gone on she's got worse. She doesn't care about school rewards (100% not like her - she's a people pleaser) and today she cried and begged me not to take her to school every time I mentioned it. Feel like I've tried so many things - having fun before school/being stern/talking about it/doing treats after school. She won't tell me why she hates it so much, she won't answer questions about school either she just says she doesn't understand it.

I understand there's a massive change between the two years but I really wasn't expecting this.

Has anyone any experience with this and has any advice? I'm going to try and speak to her teacher at the end of the day and see what she's like when she's in school but I'm a softy and I just want to help her.

We had this in Y1 and luckily the week was split between 2 different teachers. We quickly realised that DS was fine in the second half the week. The Teacher that taught the first half of the week was very shouty and made DS very anxious. Added to that he was experiencing some bullying, which we managed to sort.
