15 month old DD won't wear shoes

She's been walking for 5 months now and absolutely refuses to wear anything on her feet. I've tried wellies, shoes with velcro and laces. She either takes them off or if she can't she sits down and refuses to walk.

I'm not overly concerned about it, although it is too cold obviously and it's a pita when I keep losing shoes.

Does anyone have any advice or do I just have to accept I have the next Zola Budd on my hands?

my 12 mo DD goes mental if I put shoes on her (she's only had shoes for a month). She won't walk when wearing them, and instead stands rooted to the spot staring sternly at her shoes.

I'll be interested to hear what advice Mners can offer.

Although I guess we should count our blessings that it'll soon be sunny and dry enough for them to toddle barefoot in the park .

My only advice would be to keep trying to put them on her and one day she may surprise you by suddenly accept it. This seems to work with a lot of things with tiny dcs (taking milk from a bottle and most recently with DD2 wearing a clip in her hair to hold back her fringe).
