I have a 13 month old daughter who I was wondering if she requires some support with achieving her milestones. She’s recently had her HV 12 month appointment and said not to worry if she’s not standing/walking by 18 month old. My little girl has achieved up to now crawling / holding on furniture cruising (crawling started at 10 month) She cannot stand independently, she cannot stand with support of people holding her she doesn’t like it when people hold her hands or hip line to help her. She cannot use assisted toys (ie push walker, sit down walker struggled mobilising in pool seats) she doesn’t do any supported walking ect as she screams if you attempt any of this. She raises her feet in the air like how dare you attempt to make me weight bare. She struggles to sit up independently from being laid down. When she stands she locks knees and stands wide spread apart. Also she struggles to sit down on her bottom without being in a W position all the time she was born with an immature hip as she was breach which resolved by 4 month via ultrasound scan. So my question is do you think she may benefit of an assessment to see if she requires more support or leave more time to see if she will achieve her developmental milestones?
I do respect all babies develop at their own pace ect im just wondering rather than raising concerns as there is some things making me question the situation. Thank you in advance :)
