If your ds of five years old had got his willy out and shown it to the girls in the cloakroom, would you want to know?

DS1 came home on Friday and told us that one of his classmates had done this.

This boy was in detention during playtime on the previous day because of something else and is obviously a little tiresome.

So, I would want to know if this was my ds and DH agrees with me.

So, would you tell the teacher?

I will not be telling his mother as I think that the teacher can do that and his Mum is a playground friend who is lovely. She was devastated at his detention and is a nice normal person so I do know this will not go down well at all.

Yet, I would want to know so I could deal with it at home as well.

Opinions please.

I wouldn't be that interested unless it was repeated behaviour. Boys (and girls too) are just a bit silly at that age. ds got a time out last year for drawing a willy on a picture of some saint - it was very hard to keep a straight face when telling him off (we get notes about time outs which you have to sign and return).

why on earth would you need to 'nip it in the bud' at the age of 5??? v strange attitude ... ds1 waved his willy around in the changing rooms in Y1 - his teacher did mention it to me but only v casually and only because one of the girls in his class came from a v strict muslim family and had a v extreme reaction

neither the teacher nor I made a big deal out of it, just said it wasn't ok to wave willies at people in the changing rooms and that was that

he's now 11 and would be mortified if I reminded him of this ... amazingly he hasn't turned out to be a serial flasher ... yet ...

emkana - your post about the girl reminded me of when DS was in reception and one day at home he was in the loo doing a poo and said that he could now wipe his own bottom - "great I said". "Yes" he said - "Kitty taught me". Kitty being one of the girls in his class!
