10 weeks old and not feeding

Hi, my baby is 10 weeks old and is formula fed, he has never had an issue feeding, up untill a week ago, I make up 5oz and he used to drink this every 3 hours, but now he might have 1-2oz and if I’m lucky 3oz, he hasn’t been sick, there is nothing else I can see wrong with him.

he doesn’t show any signs of reflux, he doesn’t spit out any milk. He just stops eating and plays with the teat, he doesn’t seem uncomfortable.

I will burp him then try feeding again and he won’t take it.

somtimes he can go 5-6 hours at night and still only drink about 100ml.

health visitor said this could just be a little blip but I really could do with some reassurance.

Hi, sorry if you’ve already tried this but have you tried moving up a teat size? My little girl also started taking less milk at around the same age as your little one and when she did feed she would feed really slowly. A friend suggested trying the next teat size up and that solved the problem 😊 If the health visitor isn’t worried then it doesn’t sound like anything to worry about - though I know that’s easier said than done!

Having the same problem with my LO. From she had her 8 week injections 2 weeks ago she just doesnt seem to be hungry, have already moved up a teet but she will only take a few oz now if im lucky and towards the end shes pushing the bottle away. Shes went from 4/5oz every 3/3.5 hours to 2/3oz every 4 (at a push!) very concerned shes not getting enough! Although she was weighed yesterday by HV and is up to 9lb 13oz from her birth weight of 6lb 4oz, any advice or suggestions greatly appreciated! Im driving myself crazy with google
